BUG OUT BUNKER
This military bunker is located 3.5 miles east of where i live. its situated between 2 old RAF sites and was originally used as a decoy site but will also double as a very nice bomb shelter (with a little house keeping).

looks like a WW2 bomb shelter. the concrete pannels were precast at a number of factories around the country (mostly by Balfour beatty) then the trimmings were made onsite. Not easy to secure but a bit of work could make it inconspicious (hide the shape and the entrances)

Nice find dude.
I'm Thinking of building something a long those lines for myself (just much smaller). Not to bug out to. Just to hide in for a short time if i need to.
The only problem with those old shelters is the corrugated steel will probably be so corroded that any weight on it will cause it to collapse, as i discovered when i was a lad clambering on one in the neighbours garden.
Might be an idea to re-roof it and then put some turf over the top to hide it. Personally i might look at including a crude periscope so you can look out covertly. Or adapt the front entrance to be more covert once your inside.

Well yea im only planning on using it short term in case my current location is compromised. the shelter is on private land so i cant do anything to it unless i get permission. i suppose it might be worth looking into
