Here's another interesting article from The Guardian, bless them - not so much about food, but about how to care for the soil:

The main two points are excellent, the pondweed and the dead hedging (which also has good security potential, I *think*. And both ideas fit with the permaculture concept of finding opportunities to use your waste and creating a closed circle.

On Wartime Farm last week they showed a leaflet about seasonal growing and information to make sure they had veg all year round. After the disastrous growing this year I thought it would be a good idea to try this next year.

cool thank , you have to remember that it worked well during ww2 and still should today
