Hello William.

Welcome to the forum. I second junmist's post and would like to know more... Go on, give us something good to read on a dull Friday afternoon, to distract me from work! :)

Seeing the state the world is getting itself in to and how much we are destroying this world, ive been watching a programme called Preppers and wow some people are so well prepared that they would survive were most would not, the only thing against me is i live in the United Kingdom and its so hard to do anything, for me to put something in to the ground i need planning permission, i love the though of having a bunker in the ground and seen some designs from a website "Atlas Shelters" only prob i cant get there here lol

Defending ourselves is the hard part in the UK as Gun laws restrict us to only being able to have .22 Rifles we cant have anything bigger :(

Only a noob with this so just looking at how other people work and defend themselves, one day i hope to have a shelter but will most likely be a Storage Container and not a ready built shelter.

Hello and welcome ,Dont worry about what you see on Nat Geo (it is america after all :D ) and my own opinion is guns not being sold everywere in the uk is a big bonus . Most animals we have to hunt in the uk can be taken down with a sling shot or .22 (dont bother with .177), And IF the S.H.T.F its best to be away from urban areas as much as possible (The best way to win a fight is avoid it).

I'm a newbie to the forum and i joined after watching American preppers, the programme got me thinking. Be careful about using a shipping container, they can buckle
