Does anyone know any good links for survival/prepping books in MOBi format.

I got a kindle for my birthday and that is the format for them. I can only seem to find them in PDF format and converting them doesn't work that well.

I have a hang crank for charging it up and thought it would come in handy if the power grid went down. 3000 books in such a small device is a massive advantage. Beats trying to learn everything about everything although that woul be a big plus. Does anyone have a photographic mind going spare?

I'd give you my photographic memory but i don't think we are able to do brain transplants yet ;p

Also: hit up the kindle store on amazon. Tons are there. As for iphones: there are number of free survival books in the app store.

Kindles can take pdf, can't they? Big uh-oh moment for me if they can't

I came across this blog a while ago: http://pamspriderecommendations.blogspot.de/ each UK evening, she has free kindle books listed. Its a bit of a faff, because her links are to .com, whereas I can only download from .co.uk, and there is a slightly weird sense to a lot of it, but there are some really handy things there that I've not seen anywhere else (ignore "How to french braid" she also has "How to change transmission fluid" and "How to build a hanging chicken feeder").

Do you literally have a hand crank? I'd be very interested in the details of whatever you *do* have
