First would be grow food and have a lot of water.
But one thing I'm lost at is toilet roll ( you can only have so much) is there a plan b?

Re: Long term problems
Wash cloths.
Cut them into manageable pieces. By the toilet have a bucket of water and bleach or the nappysan (cleaning stuff for soaking real cloth nappies).
Use the cloth, put it into the bucket to soak and wash. Then reuse.

Re: Long term problems
Mmm you think this would still work without the bleach and just boil them in water?
Like I said I'm planning short term eg 1 to 5 years
And any thing after that (dark age) rest of our lives until a new civilization starts up again (depends what sh** happened)

Re: Long term problems
Beech leaves too - they're edible, so they must be okay!
And we were just talking about horse chestnut leaves having a high saponin content - so they'd be good too.

Re: Long term problems
Of course you also need to consider what sort of 'toilet' you will have if we are living in a new dark ages. There will not be flushing toilets and sewage disposal.
Start prepping for a compost toilet or similar. Without safe disposal illness will occur.
