new prepper

Post by andy8514 »

Hi from Norfolk,
I am disabled and just started to think of prepping, looked at youtube on prepping but not much use as i can not bug out very easily, but can walk but not too far or carry heavy loads. Any ideas would be helpful? Would also like to meet other Norfolk preppers.

hi andy and welcome to the forum , the fact is that most of us are planning on bunging in and not out , so like most of us you will have to water storage and food not just storing food but growing you own too , there are loads of threads on the site so my advice would be make a cup of tea put you feet up and start reading :D

    Welcome Andy!

Our first choice would be to bug out by car.
Plan B is I have 2 panniers loaded with 3 days food and cooking equipment (for 4 people). The idea is that we'd push the loaded bicycle (in addition to our BOBs). We are currently saving up for racks and panniers for my OH's and kids bikes.
Another carrying idea is to use a trolley - look at the ones here for example http://www.action-storage.co.uk/Trucks- ... 1-123-316/
I'm always pulling one around town for one reason or another!
