I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

I like the idea of having a crossbow ... I already have an 80lb compound bow, rifle & shotgun .

i cant believe i never thought of getting a crossbow before

I think i'm going to get this one ..... reduced by £210 to £239 http://www.hunters-knives.co.uk/crossbo ... ssbow.html

or this one for £179 http://www.crossbows4u.co.uk/#/sidewinder/4557087871

I'm so glad this post cropped up.

I'm looking at buying an xbow at the minute, and so far, best value for money (as far as i've seen) is an Amex Jaguar:

http://www.solware.co.uk/archery-crossb ... sbow.shtml

They've got good write ups and cheap (yet apparently very good quality) for the money.

Thanks for the link too Plymtom, nice cheap site!

definately get a shotgun magenta, they are the ideal companion post shtf. not complicated to use ,will last a lifetime, can be used to harvest anything from a sparrow to an elephant with the appropriate ammo. noisy yes but quick to reload and definately more of a confidence booster than an arrow or bolt in a sticky situation.
