I started prepping about a year ago. I have been doing alot of research on survival and living in the wilderness. There is a really good site called Wilderness Survival which just about covers everything you need to know.

Remember that in the US they have a huge amount of land that is just wilderness. Here in the UK we have very little. Your plans should take that into account, IMO.
