Walking Shoes/Trainers
As the title states, I'm looking for some walking shoes or walking 'trainer' type things. Not boots. Shoes. I don't want anything too cumbersome, but I'd like them to be relatively sturdy. Nor do I want to look like I'm wearing 'special' shoes... Oh, and I don't want to spend a fortune, either.
So, to recap, something sturdy, but lightweight, strong, reasonably priced, nice to look at and relatively feminine.

My wife is very feminine. That's why I fancy her lol.
She has a cheap pair of Regatta walking shoes, bought years ago and used for walking (obviously) but have been used to walk to work due to ice and we couldn't get either car out of our small estate. Slightly more expensive, I realise, she also has a pair of Merrell trainers. Bought in a sale, but she claims they are one of the most comfortable pair of shoes she owns.

regatta and hi-tec do "lowcost" rugged and durable walking shoes, i use hitec ones for work and they are good in all weathers, reasonably wateresistant and good breathability
i deliver school meals in rural areas, so need something thats works aswell when driving as climbing steps in the snow/rain

Tk maxx always seem to have a fairly decent amount of budget outdoor shoes/boots, you could try there!

I'd suggest Merrell as well. My OH has some of the Merrell Trainers/Walking shoes, lightweight and waterproof, very comfy, and I think she paid around £50-£60 in Go Outdoors for them.
