Where did you get it from?

And we would love a review when you've had a go at using it, please. :D
Hi there,

I got it from Brow Farm - http://www.browfarm.co.uk/online_store/ ... chines.htm
I had already decided on this model so it was just a case of finding one in the UK at the best price.

I had researched a lot of reviews and watched customer demos on Youtube before choosing the model.

Good for first timers. I have been baking my own bread for sometime so I'll let you know how I get on.

Please don't rain on my Party....

Thanks. I've looked at Brow Farm before so I'll be interested in how the mill performs. I think they sell their grain at a very good price.

on a two day break at Cheddar Gorge for very much needed R&R. I'm recharging my mind and soul so that I can continue prepping without burning out.

Just shoveled a ton (literally) of cow manure onto my garden from a big pile a farmer friend tipped out. Probably got another ton to go.

On the positive side, my veggie patch will be topped with manure ready to dig in come spring time. On the downside, I sure don't smell too good just now and I think it might be best not to bite my nails for a while.

Replenished the plasters in my EDC first aid kit - I've been getting through them like nobody's business for some reason. My old standby, the 99p shop sells packets of 100 plasters, so I'll be OK for a bit :) I also grabbed a multi-pack of kids washproof plasters with pictures on, ostensibly in case I'm with my godchildren and one of them hurts themselves, but really they're for me

While on my plaster-fest, I saw the 99p shop is also selling reusable handwarmers! 2 or 3 to a packet! Let's just say, I bought a few...

Like I've said in another thread, I'm looking at long term prep - retirement! I'm slightly boggled even by the few options I have access to. I think I need to spread my limited resources in case one of them fails. To this end, I'm very *very* tentatively considering putting a little money towards buying silver coins - no way could I afford gold. But I'd like to find somewhere I can walk in and pay cash. The only place that this seems to be possible is in Birmingham! Bit far for me. Hatton Garden is only down the road from work, but I can't find anywhere (online at least) that I could just walk in, pay cash and come out with coins. I think I need to do a reconnaissance mission one lunchtime...

These people on the Strand look a likely bet

http://www.atsbullion.com/

not dealt with them myself - but they have an store front. I'd be real surprised if they turned down cash purchases below £2500 or so.

I did see them, but wasn't sure. I'll have to go down and have a look at what the shop is like. Cheers for pointing them out :)

Buying silver for cash, is not a retirement plan :D

I buy silver, but I like 'treasure' and I don't consider it an investment, in financial terms until the time comes when I need to trade/barter.

I never said it was the only thing I was looking at doing. I'm looking at it as one option among many. The only reason I want to pay by cash is OPSEC. And it wouldn't just be a retirement plan - if the banks were to go pear shaped, I'd rather know I had a bit of capital left (even if it wasn't very much!) over losing everything in the bank.

I've been stacking logs against the stone shed walls. They look tidy at last.
I need to start digging over the veg plot now but the ground is a bit soggy and muddy.
Weed-heaving is the only option at the moment. I hate weeds and mine seem to be winning.
