Hello! New member from Cheshire

Post by Denovo »

Just found this site and thought I'd say hi :)

I've been watching the tv show Doomsday Preppers and now I'm constantly thinking "what if"

I'm married with 6 children and I just think if anything happened, where we live we wouldn't last 5 minutes :(
I think my husband thinks they are a bit mad, but a lot of what these people are saying makes a lot of sense.

So, I will be spending a lot of time reading this forum and will be making plans :)
So glad I found this site :)

Hi there. Prepping in reality is for the more mundane things in life such as power or water shortages.

The extreme end of prepping is what you see on doomsday preppers. The reality is that if you worry about things as much as they seem to you would be borderline obsessive. The things they worry about are ok reality unlikely to happen in their lifetime.

Don't worry so much about the extremes. Prepare for the mundane and if the extremes do happen you will be a step ahead of the rest.
