Re: Tumours, Treatment & Prepping
Take car CG, thoughts are with you. Keep up a good support network from friends and family and anyone that can just be there for you. Preparing for this by telling people about is a good start, then people will be there for you and your nearest and dearest.

I am a professional Herbalist. Herbalists were dealing with tumours long before modern medicine. I have some advice that will help and will certainly make your orthodox treatment more effective. Fire up Google and research Curcuma longa (Turmeric). It has strong anti-tumour activity and is non-toxic. Take it (about a teaspoonful mixed with treacle) twice a day. There are two other herbs you need to check out: Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi mushroom). This inhibits the tumours developing a good blood-supply and slows the growth. It is used regularly in Japanese medical practice. The next one is Cordyceps sinensis. (I wrote my dissertation on this when I did my degree in Herbal Medicine - if you want to read it pm me and I will send you a copy). Cordyceps is a parasitic fungus from the high mountains of Tibet. It produces a compound called Cordycepin. This is almost identical to a compound that is used in the replication of DNA - except that it disrupts the process. A normal cell has a repair mechanism but a cancerous one does not (that is why it is cancerous). Cordyceps therefore screws up cancer-cell replication but not normal cells. The best stuff is made by these people http://www.alohamedicinals.com/cordycep ... Jd0wIVz1Q8
Lastly there is a herb used to supress tumours called Gynostemma pentaphylum. It boosts the immune system and supresses cancer. It can be bought from the web dried and drunk as a (rather pleasant) tea. Drink it twice a day. It has been through clinical trials in China and is used in tumour treatment in the USA.
None of the above are toxic and overdose is not therefore an issue nor will they interfere with your orthodox medication. If you need any advice re this protocol please pm me. Please take care and all the best. I hope this helps.

Wow, MH, thank you for that - I'm a "worried well", rather than an actual sufferer - its just that there's so much cancer in my family, 8 cases of skin cancer alone when I count up amongst immediate family and cousins. Good to know that there's something *I* can control along with orthodox treatment.

I have had cancer too - of the thyroid so my advice may not be as good as ML. It was pretty serious though - 5 hours on the slab as it had spread. Not that you need to know that *grin*
Be prepared for being drained, tired, whacked out, miserable, etc. If you know that in advance, you can prepare yourself mentally for it.
Try and follow as normal a routine as possible but if you are tired, give in and listen to what your body is saying.
Try and stay positive and focused. I am TOTALLY convinced that my attitude got me through it.
Let your family help you. I found that the hardest part TBH but was really grateful for everything they did (including a two hour round trip to visit me in the radiotherapy room for 15 mins each evening (longest they were allowed to stay without the potential of becoming radioactive themselves)).
Good luck.

Sorry to here about your issues. I absolutely agree with Medi-cat abou the value of family. Research shows that fun/happiness is as valuable as medicine. If you will forgive another suggestion to you guys - can I suggest that there is a good probability that you are missing some key element that is legging down your health. The usual suspects are Vitamin D, Zinc, Magnesium and trace elements (Selenium, Manganese, Molbdenum, chromium). I am suggesting that we get cancers all the time but our immune system kills them. If the immune system is not working properly (coz it hasn't goth the biochemical wherewithall to function well) then one or more get missed.
I hope you are clear ATM. Google the above to bits until you are clear about it and then go with what you find. All the best

Hi CardiffGuy
Hope alls ok with you at the moment.
Just wanted to added that I totally believe in non traditional treatments like Reiki, to go along with your traditional treatment that the docs are giving you - when I was ill I had regular sessions of Reiki, reflexology and colour (aura soma) therapy. I firmly believe that these treatments helped me keep up a good attitude and helped me relax and keep as stress-free as possible while undergoing all the radiation and chemo.
Some of the treatments aren't cheap, but if you invest in a good practioner, I'm sure you will find the benefits useful and even one or two sessions of reiki or reflexology will benefit.
Some people poo-poo these type of treatments, so its up to you really whether you "believe" in it or not.
Thinking and praying for you mate.

Re: Tumours, Treatment & Prepping
HI CG sorry to hear your plight.
I found this on-line, but would highly recommend discussing with your Doctor before you make any decision.
Headaches are a common complaint in patients with pituitary tumors.
An injection with a medicine called sumatriptan, or a nasal spray containing a medicine called zolmitriptan, or breathing 100% oxygen, will usually relieve each headache, it is recommended not to drink alcohol at all for the duration of a cluster period.
Thoughts are with you brother

The treacle is not critical. It is just a strong sweet flavour to mask the Turmeric. Tumeric is a yellow resinous powder that you would otherwise have problems swallowing. Treacle (Molasses) is a way to do it. Treacle on its own it would not affect a tumour - although it is loaded with minerals and vitamins. The turmeric (Curcuma longa) has a good track record of suppression of tumours but will never be researched by pharmaceutical companies because it is a natural product and therefore cannot be patented. No commercial concern is going to spend a shed-load of money on drug trials for a natural product even if it works. The reason is that without a patent they cannot sell it at a high price and would (if licenced) have to compete with everyone else that had NOT spent a king's ransom on a drug trial.
Many herbs are in this "orphan" position. They have been known since ancient times to suppress cancers. But you will never see them researched and validated by a pharmaceutical company. Because of this a doctor would have problems using them - even though they are non-toxic - without getting in trouble with the BMA. Having said that - most doctors in the UK (unlike Germany) have no training in Herbal Medicine and very little in dietetics. There is a whole different medical practice out there if you can get your head beyond orthodox medicine. Incidentally - consider the implications of this from a prepping perspective. No pharmaceutical drugs mean that doctors will become unable to function. It may be a good idea for you to inform yourself about Herbal Medicine. If you buy one medical prepping book - make it "Bartram's Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine" by Thomas Bartram.
I hope this explains a thing or two.

Re: Tumours, Treatment & Prepping
I'm starting to get a tad uncomfortable about the direction this thread is taking. I do hope we are not heading down the 'Italian quack claims baking soda cures cancer' route again.
