My evac bag:

20L rucksack to get to our BOL in half a day on foot (based on what we took/needed in a real life evacuation last spring!)

(The children's and OH's are 10L rucksacks with slimmed down contents and are customised - ie sanitary towels, teddies etc)

3 lightsticks + tactical holder
Bag mix chocolates
Fruit biscuits
Cereal bars
Fruit bars
Small notepad + pen
Mini maglite LED
'Travel' First Aid Kit inc. prescription meds
Emergency Mini Guide
Small packet wet wipes
Small packet tissues
Emergency blanket
FM/AM/SW small radio
mobile + powermonkey
15m paracord
5m duck tape
Antibacterial hand gel
Spare polythene bags
Thick marker pen
Poncho
Small pan
'Picnic'-size Greenheat tin + stand = 20 mins heat
Matches
Lighter
Brew kit (carton of Ribena for the children) inc mug
Flannel
Sewing kit
Travel toothbrush/paste
Superglue
Whistle

Family phone numbers on paper

I've got a fair amount of things for my BOB, what I need now is the actual bag to put it in (asap).

Itsy,

It's to get us to our BOL, a couple of hours walk away. Plan is to stuff it into a larger rucksack along with MREs to extend it to 2 or 3 days.
