Hi everyone,

I live on the coast nr Clacton on sea and have always been a guy who likes to be prepared on some level. I found the site after looking at some ideas for BOB's and wondered if we would have a forum for this sort of thing in the uk.

I like to aquire useful skills, i'm an accomplished archer and know my way around a rifle and bushcraft skills ;) . I'm looking to learn some butchery skills and things such as fish prep as I would like to be able to be the hunter/gather if needed.

My family call my 4x4 'the bear grylls mobile' as it has preps, axe/spade mounts, cb and that sort of thing...not that they take the mic too much when I drag them outta the snow.

I don't prep for doomsday type stuff but the riots of last year were a good indication of why we should all have a plan on some level.

I'm happy to help anyone out if I can here so just shout :)

Hi and a warm welcome from another Essex chap, are you my twin?
I hunt, I gather, I had a prepped 4x4 until recently, I am an archer and am also looked upon as a bit different by my peers.
By the way, squirrel is tasty so try it.
