Colds and Flu are very different viruses. There are no proper orthodox medical treatments for either. A cold gives you a runny nose cough and makes you feel crap for a few days. Flu can be a serious disease (killed my grandfather). It attacks the lungs but can be felt throughout the body with joint and muscular pain. With flu you usually run a temperature and feel hot then cold and sweat a lot. I suggest:

Cold - take 2000mg Vitamin C (or more) per day and have a lemsip until it goes away. (You are entitled to feel miserable

Influenza - do the vitamin C thing but also grate the rind of a lemon and eat it twice per day. This contains a compound called limonine that destroys the outer coating of the influenza virus. While you are doing this you may wish to take some Zinc and Magnesium supplements along with Vitamin D. These will potentiate your immune system to fight what is a potentially serious illness.

I am glad you said that MH because I HATE it when somebody sneezes twice, blows their nose a couple of times and sniffs then tell me they have 'flu.

IF YOU HAD INFLUENZA YOU WOULD KNOW ABOUT IT.

A cold and flu are two different things. Flu can wipe you out for a couple of weeks; a cold a few days. Flu DOES NOT carry a bunged up nose or sore throat. The symptoms are different.

Tip about colds.

We pick up the viruses by touching a contaminated surface then either rubbing our eyes or sticking a finger up the nose.

The viruses stay in the nasal cavity doing nothing for weeks or months, until the temperature there drops to 32-34 degrees C.
The blood supply (and immune response) to the nose is reduced and that's when the viruses activate.
Rather than wasting precious heat, the body produces mucus and sneezing.

As soon as my nose starts tickling, I slap on some layers and a hat to warm my nose up. I usually nip the cold in the bud.

"Wrap up warm or you'll catch a cold" is true. Ish.
SHTF around 2017.

Intersting post...and agree if you have flu, you know about it you cant move and completely different to a cold. I have thankfully only had it once.

I do find it funny that we have put men on the moon, explored our gallaxy are able to clone organs but we cant find a cure for the common cold lol

Stay safe
