Have you used Powdered Egg?
Have you used Powdered Egg?
I am looking at the idea of powdered eggs as an item for my supply cupboard. Has anyone regularly used powdered eggs in the past or present? If so, where can you get it from at reasonable prices. I am having difficulty sourcing this product in the UK.
Re: Have you used Powdered Egg?
I have looked into it, it is not a uk product by what I can see. Powdered egg seems to be a USA thing.

So do you mix it with water to rehydrate?

Thanks for the link Su. I have seen this, but it would be more whole egg I was thinking of.preppingsu wrote:Just found dried egg white, online sainsburys.

Re: Have you used Powdered Egg?
This was the easiest looking DIY one that I found. I will have a go soon ( although I don't have a food processor so will need to look at a way of doing the final 'whizz' by hand to get the finer powder). Oh and I don't have a dehydrator yet -it's on my Christmas listjansman wrote:Thanks for the link Su. However, jansman, if you have the equipment then have a go and let us know how you get on!

Well Su, I have the egg supply, but no dehydrator. This I keep meaning to look at. It does seem fairly easy though. Let you know!
