I know what you mean about some forces being more difficult, i know people with FAC's that's been turned down when they've tried for a S1 shotgun.scoobie wrote:Yes, just like any other S1 firearm.
Although some forces are more difficult about granting slots for them for vermin.

Also check out the Akdal 1919. Both legal to own on a FAC in the UK.
The Saiga is fairly crap in standard form, and the 1919 also needs mods (talking about from a PSG perspective) to be competitive and smooth. The vepyr 12 is better than the Saiga, but more expensive.
I know guys with both, the Saiga needs fairly frequent work to keep it going. It won't cycle 28g loads without modification if I remember rightly.
I have a feeling the 1919 won't stand up to heavy PSG use due to build materials and quality.
Each to their own of course, I shoot pump in PSG because I like to do things the hard way!

Real men use pumps!
Having said that I have both a semi and an over & under, but pumps just feel 'right' and are more reliable than rock.
I know of people getting granted S1 Shotguns for vermin control but you'd definitely need a good reason, like crops getting hammered by birds and 3 shots being inadequate.
Personally I think it's a lot of hassle if you're not going to take part in PSG competitions, and you'd be better off practicing slicker reloads!

PSG comps can be won/lost on the speed of your reloads!
