Just saying hello. Tripped over this site whilst googling around "end of world" news. Curiosity and a sense of self preservation prompted me to join.

So, if you are new to prepping what do you think you might be prepping for?

You will find that we tend not to go with the end of the world tomorrow type stuff.

Thanks for the welcome preppingsu. Glad to hear that there isn't a general "oh noes" feeling. I joined not so much because I believe that the end of the world is imminent, (I don't) but because I do believe that climate change is a real event that may cause devastating changes; If it does it would be good to know what, if anything, can make us better prepared to deal with our own lives.
Sadly I am not well off enough to do much about preparation in terms of highly secure well stocked bunkers but there may be some other things I could be doing and haven't yet thought of.

Also, if there is anything I can contribute to the site then I will be happy to do so.

That's like most of us on here. We buy extra food when we can, store water, have alternative heating,lighting, cooking. Most of this can be done on a budget. Have a good read of the forum - we have had many good discussions about all of this, even considering wartime rations etc. ENJOY!
