Crusader cup heavy steel lid
Crusader cup heavy steel lid
Like this allot. Reduces boiling time, keeps ash out of your brew, and has straining holes along the sides. Tidy

Not cheap at £17; but like the crusader cup and stove, built to last a lifetime.Reservior wrote:How much?

Crusader cup heavy steel lid
I like the look of that, I think I may have to treat myself
Re: Crusader cup heavy steel lid
They r nice lids for the crusader cups and are a million times better than the official plastic lid, but i only have the dutch army stainless steel mugs, which are similar but slightly more kidney shaped so the lid does not fit ! plus im not paying £17 when my mug just cost £ 4. -lol Bsides ive treated myself to a alpkit myti titanium mug (750ml capacity and weighs in at just 110 grams) but it also comes with a proper lid lol .
So im sorted now for a hot brew or a meal on a day out and with my titanium pocket stove (56 grams) a tangia burner or a few hexi cubes and a fire starter kit and it all fits into just one of my coat pockets and weighs in at just over 1/2 lb.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
Re: Crusader cup heavy steel lid
I got myself one of these and as you can see it comes with a sturdy plastic lid, has anyone any experience with these, can you use them while boilng water or are they really for once you have boiled it?

If you use the phase "man up" you have alot to learn.

Careful with the lid, many a burnt one has been tossed away along with the lip drinking guard.
That's why the metal one was invented
