Could you jar up Christmas pudding? Sterile glass jar, possibly boil then store it at the right temperature? That should work, right?

Why would you need to can the Christmas pudding? It would store well just in its original packaging - way beyond the BB4 date, especially as it's full of alcohol.

Why would you need to can the Christmas pudding? It would store well just in its original packaging - way beyond the BB4 date, especially as it's full of alcohol.

I'm asking if it is possible to jar it up and would it further extend the lift expectancy of a Pud if you jarred it close to it's best before date

I dunno, have you ever had a cake in a jar? They're pretty awesome I recycle jars anyway, I have honey in my tea so I get through a boat load by the end of the year

Id say turkey would be a good buy, last year i got 3 turkeys on boxing day from Asda nice and cheap (reduced to clear) as they usually have loads left over so they have to sell them cheap as most supermarkets do't have that large a turkey section.

I may look at some meat joints which I could cut and freeze into more single meal proportions, but nothing else comes to mind right now, as for xmas pudding ewww no thanks it's on a par with a bush tucker challenge.
