Scope mounts for BSA Lightning XL and Tactical.

Just be aware that the BSA Lightning XL and Tactical have a 14mm Maxigrip Rail - can recommend these mounts.

Spend a year with the incorrect mounts the gunshop supplied - although they were secure by streaching the jaws on the mount scope suffered from cross-over i.e not parrallel with the barrel.

Took me ages to work out what was going on - these mounts cure many consistacy issues.

You can't go wrong with either rifle although myself, I prefer the standard SE model. If you can't stretch as far as one of these then why not go for a BSA Supersport - basically a long barelled Lightning for much less money?

In an ideal world I would like a used lightning but not sure how hard these are to come by failing that the lightning SE would be my next option.

What mounts did you have?

Some mounts have reversible jaw plates with a different sized tooth at opposite ends to compensate for this.
