Do you have an item in mind to get your hands on this coming year, or do you have any prep-related job to do/finish?
My aim is to continue to try and collect items on my list and create a longer-lasting supply store (I am ok for a month ATM)
Your Prepping for 2013

Add to my dried stored food stocks and use up the Mylar bags from the Group buy

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Get my hands on a few more ways to make small quantities of electricity, maybe get some wind up lanterns (freeplay probably), get more serious about food preservation, stock up on candles, and there are a few more skills i want to learn.

I've got to make or find more space then more storing the things we use. and learning/passing on skills, and if we get out much some shooting and foraging.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

2013 for me will be more geared towards gaining skills and knowledge than gear and equipment etc. Am pretty confident that anything I don't have yet could be acquired later one way or another.

Hmm working on a couple of prep related projects.
EDC/survival Preps: Car/Back-Pac / Bum Bag / Wallet / Key ring.
Have most of the stuff but going to need to duplicate...
Also working on an ultralight EDC to be worn round neck and on my mental prep pre-visualising senario and getting my head in a good space - lot of reading around the subject.

For me, developing my polytunnel for Winter cropping. Oh, and finding a new
job when I am binned at the end of January!

Re: Your Prepping for 2013
I will be continuing to add to food stores.
I want to look at permaculture in a bigger way this year, looking holistically so involving not just the garden but the whole family, living space etc.
A bigger focus on seasonal growing and hardier crops - using cold frames (haven't quite got the space for a poly tunnel but would be interested to see how you get on jansman!)
A thanks to a lovely starter kit as a pressie on my birthday I will be starting/learning to quilt.

Cold frame gardening is useful Su. and will certainly extend your range. I think if you can simply supply your kitchen with salads through Winter, you are doing well. I do the usual cabbage, kale leeks etc. but salads are a challenge. Coldframes will do this.
