Fkmd...?

Post by Ejcb »

Guys,

What are people's thoughts and findings on fkmd knives?

Looking at the trakker series as a bit of an all round blade for bushcraft etc?

dont know them, but could probably do with a good all-rounder knife in my kit, if you find a good one let me know.

FKMD

What's one of those then?

Seems a very odd/lazy way to label a thread.... Surely you can take a little more time & care to advise us thickos what exactly FKMD refers too?

Fox knives military division.

The trakker is one of their products.

It is a recognised brand in the same way Columbia river knife and tool is almost universally referred to as crkt.

I apologise for doing something odd and lazy...

Was looking for people who may have owned or used them and this could advise appropriately.

Thank you for responding in such a belligerent manner mod plod!

Must admit, I was a little confused at first when I saw the title of the thread. A little Google search later and I found http://www.fkmdknives.com/fast/k/en/eur ... mm/default

I don't have any experience with FKMD tools, but they seem like decent products; although, not all of them appeal to me personally.

The choice is yours , Ejcb, but look around first before you commit. If you need links, just say and I'll send some your way.

Ace. :)

Thanks for your response.

I had googled them and was just intrigued with regards to any users first hand experiences!

I would say that you cant beat a Frosts Mora for good all round performance and easy to maintain blade without looking a bit of a kit freak.

If you want something that does a bit more then a good folder with a few accessories like the Wenger 57 hunter, has some useful blades including a rescue/gutting blade and a saw blade that actually works well compared to others I have seen. The regular blade is also one handed operation, so useful if you are holding onto something with the other hand :o

had a little look through the catalogue, look good, always prefer to hold a knife thought to see how it feels. not sure of any local suppliers.

will keep eye out though, cheers for this
