Electrical project #1

Post by piglet »

I wasnt sure where this belonged , so posted here.

So, hello all

I have been working on a little project, and need some advice before taking it to the next stage.
I wish to make some battery packs using rechargeable Li-ion AA size/type batteries.
I already have cases/modules that clip/connect directly to the management hub, but I have very limited space and will need to make electrical connections directly to the end terminal of each battery.

Now I have used soldering techniques before, but just in case it doesnt work, or a cell needs replacing in the future, or I simply change my mind, I would like to be able to get it apart easily.

So, my question is...... Has anyone here ever used Electric conductive adhesive and/or tape?

And....................
Are they easy to use?
Do they work well?
How fragile are the connections? (although the cells would be wrapped to prevent movement)
Were you happy with the results?
And if I decide to regress, or need to make maintenance, do they come apart easily?

I think from reading through the various forums you need to ask metatron, he seems very knowledgable.

Piglet what size of batteries are we talking about ...AA or AAA or are we on about 12v batteries , personally I would buy the biggest deep cycle battery available for the task in hand . But there is the recharging issue to resolve once flat that could be the biggy

Maybe should have read the start more closely , could you not use connector block then its modular as you need to add and then remove them ,in work we use wago connectors

https://www.wagobox.com/index.php?sourc ... hop/lever/

Solid connections with the ability to remove and remake them , for lipos have you tried

Great range , and quite cheap
