Flood water pump

Post by The-Great-Nothing »

Hi

Yesterday I was browsing around in a garden centre and picked up a Hoselock Flood Pump for just £18

This has a built in float switch and will shift 6000ltrs an hour, and can deal with some level of solid matter.

I got this from Dobbies garden centre on sale from £80

I am not too worried about flooding in my location, but plan to use it as part of a rainwater harvesting system for toilet flushing. Could be handy to have to hand tho :)

Cheers

Lidl , garden master , up to 3" outlet, 18,000 litres /hour , £39 , grab one whilst they are on sale which is every couple of months , the only thing you need to add is a layflat hose to get rid of the water , comes with 10m cable , and a float switch they are a trash pump so they are designed to cope with crappy water with solids but too powerful just to fill toilets etc , but for shifiting vast amounts of water are great
