It doesn't come highly reccomended by those who reviewed it, like a swiss army knife sometimes you know less is more
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Think it's a bit of a gimmick personally. Would rather just have the individual tools, but I can see where it has come from needing to be lot of tools in a relatively small package, but I think that it has tried putting too many tools into one platform. Also it eggs in one basket syndrome if that breaks and it your only tool your scr****d.

But if you wanted something like that I'm sure there are similar tools out there if you look.

i know this is an older thread now, but how is the Crovel?

how much testing has it had and did it stand up to much?

im liking the looking of it, a rambo spade, excellent if it lasts...
Hello essgee23

The Crovel had stood up surprisingly well under light trial use. I have used it as a trenching tool and a shovel. The hammer head works very well, as does the nail puller. I have sharpened the cutting edge and it holds an edge very well. I haven’t used the saw edge as that looks a bit flimsy. Overall better than expected. :D

It looks like you can do some basic sawing with it, some basic cutting and axe type things, but to the most part its a spade. Do let us know how well it works for the various uses that its put to.

I've never understood why it has a bottle opener. All over the thing there are flat, hard edges. Bottle lid on the edge, bottle upright, heel of palm on top, tilt fast.

Once anything large adds a bottle opener I instantly doubt its value.
