New Prepper from down South

Post by paratus »

Hi Guys,
I'm new to prepping but have always had a keen sense of preparing for the worst, not ex-mil but am keen to fill my mental tool box with as much info as possible.

Hi,
Although new to prepping, I've always had a keen sense of having at least a few items on me to tackle everyday situations. The OH always thought it was a little silly, but slowly came to my way of thinking as on numerous occasions I'd be the one being asked "don't have a pair of pliers on you do ya?" This time last year I realised there was a name for my condition and that was a EDCer. Researching and actively embracing prepping seemed the next logical step I guess. I'm not one for comets and the second coming, but I do wholeheartedly believe in financial crashes, terrorist attacks and numptys in charge of harmless things like nuclear reactors(!). Happy now to have found a forum as at first I kinda thought that prepping was more of a state-side thing. Happy to be proven wrong.
Key aims at the moment is to soak up as much knowledge as possible, and take it slowly as I have read on this forum is the best thing to do.
