Small increment but I just added 10 x 142g (small) more tins of Concentrated Tomato Puree to the store, they were 35p each. I use them in almost all the sauces that I make. Expiry dates of Nov 2014 (no ring pulls too). *Store what you eat and eat what you store* :)

Someone mentioned double glazing. We have just sorted out a quote for doors - the windows are already double glazed but not the doors. Do it for security as well as fuel efficiency. Need to check my bottled water and start to use any 2013 ones and replace them.

Replaced the three gallons of water in the fridge with fresh water from the tap, and about time too.

Got for more bags of salt"handy if the freezers dies or long term power out to cure any joints"
got a few more bars of coaltar soap,6 hand sanatize and checked all medi kits and stocks.

I bought a solar panel to trickle charge a car battery! Reduced to £9.99 from £19.99 at Maplins.

How good are they at this time of year? I ask as I drive to work in the dark, I drive home in the dark, and as it is winter the fan for the heater is running on both journeys, would it generate enough charge in the few hours I am not driving to make it worth while?

Made the mistake of going in millets sale,
Enamel mugs £2 each,purchased 2
Polypropylene mugs £2 each ,purchased 3
Polypropylene bowls £2 each,purchased 2
Polypropylene plates £2 each,purchased 3
Wind up small lanterns £5 each purchased 4
Eurohike 1l aluminium bottle £2 on reciept ,though marked at £4 purchased 6
Total cost with bag £52.05

A few evenings ago I finally sharpened my cheapo penknife, which I keep in my EDC sack. Actually very sharp now, so can cut through things, which I believe is the general idea...
