Wow tough father must love the outdoors. I've learnt most of my knowledge from mine and he's very practical, knowledgable but doesn't claim to know the world, were all still learning. You say common sense but half the people I know don't have it.
Mine is ex merchant navy, from back in the days when being trained as a fitter and turner produced useful, practical people. He was on the mid/far east runs on a pretty famous ship line, and has pretty much travelled the world. These days, he's retired, drives my Mum up the wall, putters in his workshop, makes things, all sorts of things, and dives when he can. He's done that all over the world too. That's their requirement for holidays abroad; somewhere for him to dive and her to shop. Biggest problem when he's up here is keeping him occupied - the man never stops!

We've got our own budgie, so unless it's busy elsewhere - medevac - or OOC, that's what gets used. So many places round here where that sort of thing can happen. There's always someone unaccounted for. OH hates what the coastguard call 'bastard searches'. That's the official term, btw, in case a mod is lookin at me sideways. It's the term when they're searching for someone who is down the pub or asleep in someone elses house!

Are you kidding? Do you have any idea of the damage that can be done with a stiletto heel? It's nasty!
I've treated the injuries for them things. When they break it gets bloody. I hate my friends parties I'm the one who doesn't drink and the one who patches people up.
