Ok so i would like to purchase cupboard food i.e. tins, pepper etc. Just wondering if things such as mandarin segments and other tins you receive will have decent expiry dates on them, dont want to buy bulk and have to finish them in 3 months
Cheers

Although buying in bulk sounds nice you end up with lots of stuff all ending on the same date. Just putting a couple of tins in extra each week is better as you get the advantage of advancing BBE dates. I got some tomatoes one week with a Sept 13 date one week and feb 14 the next
I shop between Aldi Lidl and Tesco so pick which you like but I generally add 2-4 of these to my shop each week as pure preps.
Tinned tomatoes
Beans
Beans and sausages
Sweetcorn
Hotdogs
Chili
Spam
Fruit in syrup
Fruit in juice
Bean salad
Kidney beans
Etc
You can sometimes get a 2 year BBE on these and they can all be added to regular meals with pasta, rice and potatoes for meals and stews so you should be able to rotate easily. The only things I buy in bulk are non-perishables or things I can store in Mylar such as rice and pasta.

If your after cheap bulk food try www.approvedfood.co.uk really good for all sorts everything from cleaning stuff to fruit juice I recently got 30 ltr of de'identified 100% pure Apple juice for £12 delivered (made some lovely cinnamon cider ) and when it arived it was ocean spray normaly £2 a liter or 2 for £3 so I saved £33 on the juice and the cider was around 17% so good nows what I saved in tax on 30ltr but it ment I didnt buy any drink over Christmas
im prepering for the worst because i hope for the best
Re: Tesco online shop - buy in bulk
I would recommend everyone opens an account with tesco. As a new member you will receive emails offering money off your first shop. I have been a member for a few years but just used them for christmas presents and stuff. Last week though i had the best offer yet of £12.00 off my first grocery shop. I did the shop, chose the cheapest delivery slot and ended had it delivered before the snow. I ended up with about 30-40 own brand tins of veggies and stuff for free. Not to be sniffed at.

I would say not to open an account with tesco as they can then track and trace your every purchase , know where you live and your bank/credit card details, not paranoid honest , but there are cheaper out there .
