New member in London

Hi,
Looks like a great site. Hoping to learn lots from it. I'm originally from Cornwall, although my folks moved to Devon when I was in my teens. That was pretty good as we were on the edge of Dartmoor so I got involved in outdoor activities such as walking and camping. I also did a fair bit of air rifle shooting. I was also in St John Ambulance for a few years so have a decent knowledge of first aid. For my sins I now live in London, although I always relish the opportunity to get my boots on, grab a rucksack and head out of the city. I've always had the basics you might need at home in an emergency but have probably not stockpiled to any huge extent. I guess like many people I'm concerned at things that might destabilise society such as problems with the economy, climate change etc etc. Seems like planning a bit more long term isn't such a bad thing in this day and age.
