My bag/Coat:

Gloves/Hat/Neck Scarf
Handwarmer
Lighter
Tissues
Extra battery for my phone
Pen + Paper
Torch
2 spare pairs of socks
FAK
3 bags of sweets, 2 energy bars 1L water
Extra Paracetamol/Ibuprofen - I'm migraine prone.

I've also got a small BoB in my car with most things you'd expect in a BoB.

The only little thing I'd add to your EDC st3vi3 would be 1/2 hand warmers. I never used to think I'd want/need em, them i got two and now i wont leave home without them.

Hiya,

My EDC (which is always the same regardless of season)

Multitool
Torch
Small FAK (Blow out kit)
Uzi Tactical Pen
SERE Blackops "V" Cutter

My Winter Car carry

SnugPak Antartica Sleep Bag
x2 Kids Duvets
Food (For 2 adults 2 kids) for 24hrs (mix of canned and freeze dried)
14ltrs water
Mess Tins
Gas stove
Hexamine solid fuel stove (Two is one one is none!)
Folding shovel
Tea, coffe and sugar
Couple of tin mugs
Portable kettle
UHT Milk
Baby formula + bottle
FAK including painkillers etc
10ltr Jerry of diesel
Map of my immediate area, but add map of destination if that changes if out of my area.
Tow rope
Jump leads
large snow shovel, with handle sawn down to fit in the boot
Poncho
Hi-viz waqistcoat thingy (signalling etc)
Bin bag load of grit. Not sure of the legality of this but in about october I always pop down the road and "borrow" a bin bag full from the grit bin. Saves you a bit of cash, works better than the rock salt you can buy (and I figure I pay enough council tax anyway!)
Plastic tyre boards for mud and snow/ice
And, of course, matches.

Stories of people over the last few winters being forced to spend 12 hrs in their vehicles over night without so much as a blanket have haunted me a bit, and both the missus and I have figured we want enough so we can be comfortable in a car, stuck on a Mway, with kids over at least 24hrs. All thi sfits neatly into a US ALICE pack and two PLCE bergan side pouches zipped together. Jerries of water and fuel bungeed down.
2 is 1, 1 is none

This is a good thread, but I've moved this into the EDC/BOB/GHB forum which is more relevant....

As a footsoldier my EDC might be somewhat different.
I put together a snow EDC for myself yesterday as I was travelling by Train to visit Brambles jnr in hospital.
Contents were:
Flask hot water.
Bottle water
Squeezie soup
Hot Chocolate
Couple cereal bars.
Hotties disposable hand warmers.
This on top of what is normally in my handbag.

Here's mine, although a lot of it I carry in my car anyway but I change it depending on the season:
1 x Green MOLLE Rucksack
3 x 1.5L Bottled Water
9 x Self Heating MRE's
1 x Chocolate Bar
1 x Cutlery Set
100 x Water purification Tablets
1 x Sewing Kit
1 x Fire Starting Kit (2xlighters, 1xFlint+Steel, 1xSafteyMatches, 1xWaterproofMatches, 3xSheetsTissue)
1 x Tactical LED Laser Torch
1 x Mini LED Laser Torch
1 x Thermal Hat
1 x Thermal Gloves
2 x Emergancy foil blanket
4 x Long Lasting Hand Warmers
1 x Comprehensive First Aid Kit (too long to list here)
1 x De-Ice Spray (For The Car)

There are a few other bits and pieces that I keep all year round but this covers the majority of the winter season :)
