hi from plymouth ( yes another one )

Post by whitestick »

hi all - whilst i am not a die hard "prepper" in the way some may be - i do and always HAVE "prepped " - just basic stuff like HAVING alternative lighting - food in - a bit of solar power - to charge batteries to run radios ( cb and ham ) - i also have a few OTHER things to keep in mind - as i am disabled - i have to think about meds - mobility etc ,if the SHTF and frankly i am thinking if it does - i and other less able people will be at a serious disadvantage

also ( and what prompted me to investigate the uk scene ) - is the plethera of programs on tv about prepping at the mo ( mainly amaerican ) - and what strikes me is they are telling EVERYONE what they are doing - and also in many ways where they are - what they have etc - which to me is the hight of folly , as IF a shtf situation arose , the first place those with nothing may look to is those with ( if you get my drift ) - so to my mind - low key - STELTH - covert is the way to go - as if people THINK you dont HAVE anything wrth harming you to get - then they will go else where

any hoo - i will probably not be a prolific poster on this forum - but thought i would just say hi and would love to hear from any disabled /long term sick members to share ideas - as we are in a lot different situation than the more able .

FIRST i need to read and absorb information on what people think - and what they are doing - rather than jump right in posting + i have a few other things on my plate at the moment - fighting aginst government cutbacks for disabled people - so can't be every where at once

whatever - glad to see that at least SOME of the population are not the usual "stick head in sand and hope it go's away "

best regards to all - whitestick - somewhere in plymouth
