New member just saying hi

Hi All,

Been a watcher of this site for over a year, dont ask why I didnt join earlier. Having enjoyed the information and general chat I take the plunge. Well been prepping a while much to the Mrs disgust - waste of money etc some will know the story bickering every time I buy something she feels has or never will have no use example torches, more so headband ones, well there must of been a substation out where I live as the streets surrounding us were in darkness but you could see other estates nicely lit up. Out came the torches matches candles and if the gas had of stopped the camping stoves. Well I gave tealights to three neighbours and her sister and gave a cheap lighter to another, now loves what Ive been doing and promises to nag no more (i know thats a lie!), any way I have most of the kit food on rotation etc.

I suppose the real reason why i joined is to say thanks for making me a prepper not the end of the world or zombie type but the winter of discontent type. Just recently before the melt the nearest supermarket put up signs deliveries delayed and they were out of some things, no problem good hearty stew with home made flat breads just out of the cupboards (always busting she used to nag), those are the most recent reasons why i am glad i prep.

Now before you think clever boy hes ahead of the game, its all a work in progress, two steps forward one back but making progress!!!

As for the name - well my little (not so little staff) dog is called monty and every morning I am up a six to walk him rain or shine christmas day whatever he has a routine and now so do i and the mrs thinks i am his servant or even worse his pet not the other way around. How i found this site honestly i cannot remember i have been lurking that long.

I will do my best mot to lurk anymore but to contribute where i can, ok
