For Poppiesdad. A review.

Post by Brambles »

It's just a few lines.

Regarding the Mini Degen DE13 green digital radio world band receiver.

I received it yesterday. This is a nice size about 4" x 3" x 2" it has a removable rechargeable battery bank these can be recharged either by the solar panel or the hand crank. It can also be powered by ordinary batteries, DC and usb. The features are FM/MW/SW radio, torch, headphone socket, alarm and flashing red light, it can charge small devices via the hand crank.
right, now to the try it bit. It works fine as a radio, the torch is bright, the alarm is blardy loud! I tried the crank to charge my old phone, and it will charge it sufficiently to give peace of mind, but I doubt you could get a full charge from it. All in all, I like it, it's a good addition to my emergency tin. :)

I got mine from Fleabay, priced £15.99. You might get it cheaper elsewhere.

Brambles, thanks for linking to this earlier - I just bought this model on fleabay also, bit more expensive - £16.99, from a UK supplier. Still cheaper than the shops, and brought to my door by Royal Mail :)
