It's dead simple.
Old washing machine drum and 3 or 4 suitable lengths of box section bolted to it for legs.
I haven't modified it myself, but a grill/plate over the top, and a hatch cut into the side, could make for a decent effort?

I bought one of those frontier stoves about a year ago when they were £120. They are made by a company in the southwest and were designed to be used by relief agencies all over the world. It works great in my belltent and all the chimney pieces pack down into the main stove and the legs fold in. It's not overly heavy but you couldn't hike with it, strictly car camping only.

I can do that no problem. I've got some pics of a camping trip when I used it earlier his year, I'll post some over the weekend.

I never did get round to posting some pics, well someone else has done the job for me! The review on this site pretty much echoes my own thoughts about the frontier stove, well made piece of kit and good value.

I have been looking at bell tents recently as the misses and i want to do quite a few camping holidays over the next few years a stover like this would be a really nice addition for the colder nights.

That's exactly why I bought mine, goes really well in our bell tent and it was a much cheaper alternative than everything else on the market

I bought mine to go in a bell tent and the tent flue they do is pretty good too. Keeps the bell tent nice and cosy and we do most of the cooking on it as well
