There really hit and miss, I have a Maxpedition active shooter clone which was made from what I think is 600D nylon, which is good but the stitching was crap, and then I also own a Eberlestock Phantom sniper pack clone (in black) which feels the same as the real one I own.

If you want 5:11 pay for 5:11 , if you buy rip off 5:11 expect it to rip 5:11, the think is like everything else, you pays your money you takes your chance , typical they will be knock off copies , which on the whole will be of lesser quality.

there are more manufacturers out there

Why buy knock-off?
Either you want the build quality or you don't

I'd rather have honest Mil-surp then tactifake
Options here (just a customer)

It's not really about the build quality a lot of the time but the features. Most Mil-surp is too big, heavy, or lacks features. Alice packs for example unloaded are quite heavy for what they are, plus they can't carry a long riffle, you also don't have the modern MOLLE system.

I'm old school, I like my rucks to be one (or at most two) big bag(s) with a couple of large pockets and no MOLLE webbing as I hate its looks
In other words this (or its big brother with a frame)

What do you want it for ?

Can you post a link to the 5 11 you're looking at ?

Just after it for a SHTF scenario and the odd weekend in the sticks. Im a fan of the alice packs i like the simplicity, less things to go wrong however i see the appeal of the tactical rush.

Second the ALICE pack. Mine is an early 1960's version and still going strong. No rips, tears or rotting.
