hi i dont know if this has been already covered but im thinking of getting a kelly kettle and i dont know the best and cheapest place to get one from can anyone advise thanks

Ebay is as good a place as anywhere, but they aren't cheap and chearful, over £35 for a small one

I can recommend the Ghillie Kettle as it looks like the Kelly Kettle but it has a steam whistle so you can work away from your fire around the camp and when the whistle goes it is time for a brew you can get one here www.ukcamo.com

The one I have is fantastic! great for pre heating water prior to an off grid cooking session. Brilliant for hot water for tea. If you use cardboard as fuel and alcohol to ignite it, it works very well.
It also functions in a similar (but not precisely the same) manner as a rocket stove too.

thanks for all your answers i like the idea of a whistle on the ghillie kettle as i would proberly be doing something else while waiting for the water to boil all the prise's are around the same so i will be looking more into the ghillie ketttle i all so need to look at the storm kettle i havent seen one yet so thanks again

I'd never heard of Kelly Kettles until a recent thread on here about them. I SO want one. What a brilliantly simple yet robust design.

But the question is Kelly vs Ghillie vs Storm kettle. Hmmm..... :lol:
