this year and the riseing price of fuel so today me and dan sat down and put
our heads together to find a way of cooking and makeing some power. after
about an hour we come up with a rocket type stove with a central cooking
vessel made from an old large stainless steel flask the outer is built into the
firebox and thermal lined and the inner part of the flask is the new lift out
long pan. the back of the rocket stove have also moded by making it thiner
and putting three bolts thru then copper heat sinking them adding 3 TECs as
have no TEGs at the moment to generate some power "THREMAL ELECTRIC COOLERS"
we are venting out at the back of the fire and building a cooker at the top out of
square sweetie boxs take a look tell me what you think so far.
Ok the first part
20 fire bricks cost a £1 each on ebay "I will find link later"
1 bag of V4 from the builders yard cost £18 or you could use perlite "its to thremal insulate the box"
A bit of scrap metal and wood to make a box out of a skip
1 old large stainless steel flask "cut with hacksaw around the top and you land up with two containers"
Pipe it thru to outside useing tin cans rockwool and a lenth of steel pipe, this will feed into
the floor of the green house later
moded a old large sauce pan for cooker
then fitted it to the top fire vent
still lots to do oven needs lagging and I need some scrap metal to make the air intake
at the bottom of the rocket so playtime is over for today lol
How it works
because its mostly junk I am really trying for cheap way to do loads of diffrent things with very little wood fuel just give it a test run it works I wish I had made the feeder a tad bigger tuck 4 mins to boil inner flask pan and get the cooker up to simmer but its not fully lagged yet even the pebbles are there for thermal mass to hold heat.
