Today I have put up three pea fences. I grow a climbing pea "Champion Of England". Made 'em tall enough this time- they climb to 10 foot! Just having a brew and then me and the dog are out for a mooch.

Went to the first meeting as a river warden last night this is a two fold prep. I get to know more of the local river a lot better than I do now and get to know the farmers better so that I don't get shot ;)

Preps this week are mainly putting some plans in place for some projects, first one being a total refit of my pickup truck while its off the road, its had kit thrown in it here and there on odd days and allot of the time been rushed so its all getting yanked out and refitted so its neater and safer and upto date and setup so im 100% happy with it, part of what im doing is building a sliding frame and rack in the load bed, work lights on both sides and rear, fitting aux battery, split charger and 240vac inverter with mains plus in load bay and in cab and working out a way of having a pick up for when on caravan sites etc to charge kit on board and maybe a small charger that will kick in to charge the aux battery too while its plugged in.

2nd project is a trailer that I was given that is basicly a plastic box that you can tow with a hinged lid on it so plan is to fit some sort of frame to this that I can put a rack on to carry a little bit more or maybe a small top box. The truck has one on with all the camping kit in for when staying overnight on events etc and also has cooker and brew kit in so if I get held up anywhere I can find a carpark and sort myself out while re-assesing the situation. The trailer will be used if I do have to bug out to just throw the go bags / boxes in and go. Project 2b will be to build a custom off road trailer down the line sometime.

3rd project is to get my lists sorted out as they have slipped big time in the last couple of weeks then I know what I need to stock up on etc

New kitchen going in this week.

Extra storage space, cooker runs on mains and bottled gas.

Sorting out what to keep and what needs to go.

Once again, the emergency lighting has had to come out in the house. Back in the Autumn we were rewired. We had all new lighting-bang up to the minute, energy saving LED lighting. Two of the fittings have now failed. My opinion up to now is that they are cr*p!
Waiting for the sparky now. Boy am I glad I have various ways to light the place.

Whilst tidying up, got together loads of waste paper that I can use in the kelley kettle as fuel to make hot water for washing and washing up.
Don't know why we throw waste paper and cardboard away when it is a useable fuel for outdoor heating water and cooking.
All the stuff that you would normally shred, stuff with bank account details on it, name and addresses, at can all be burned.
That means hot water and cooking fuel.

Got the chainsaw and chains out for a spring clean , sharpened the chains and mixed some fresh two stroke , getting a lot of spate stuff together to go to a car boot on Sunday to raise funds for various projects and to clear space , major space clearing , then to get more shelving .

The good weather is certainly brightening my moods .

I have workmates bring me newspapers( I use 'em for lighting the stoves, animal bedding etc. ). All that is good for the Kelly Kettle. I have one too. Superb piece of kit Nick.

Got myself a handful of AA batteries for the torches and some AAA for the smaller UV-C wand that is good for killing germs in water which means that i should be ok for a time if we get issues with water.

Need to arrange some kind of reorder quantity though.
