Some may disagree. I think this is the most realistic ,English-based PAW fiction ( after The Death Of Grass by John Christopher)it is current, topical and realistic. OK it is Iraq war( good few yrs ago) but the scenario is possible. I found the retreat from Iraq a great chapter(s), but the feral youths in the street , raiding the houses , night by night most realistic. Inthe city there are gangs who will take over quickly I suspect.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Robert Frost.

Covid 19: After that level of weirdness ,any situation is certainly possible.

Me.

Ah what about John Seymour's, Retrieved From the Future?

(just add that Death Of Grass to my amazon to buy list :D )

Totally agree though, there was eery echoes of just that in last years riots.
