Hi There

I fully became aware of prepping about 10 months ago through a friend. I have not rushed into buying everything at once, as it currently stands in all honesty my kit would not sustain me for longer than 24 hours. I carry a pouch contain a basic first aid kit, high energy food, a touch, a flint, multitools (including a knife), compass, wire cutters, usb stick, waterproofing writing equipment and a simple sewing kit. This pouch comes with me every where, it has come in very usefull for every day situations and work related once so far. I have always been into the outdoors so have a decent camping kit and a working knowledge of how to go about setting up and living in camp. My profession is an arborist so I have up to date first aid training, with this being my profession it has enhanced my knowledge of the outdoors in areas such as fungi and the uses of trees etc. I am keen kayaker and canoeist ( although I can't spell either with out the aid of spell check) I have become a coach to help my local club and better my knowledge of the activity. The idea of me joining your forum was to find ideas on how to bring all this togeather to make a kit that could sustain me for longer in SHTF situation. I also think the forum will help me find new things to buy (more shinny stuff :D ) that will better my chances in a survival situation.

Cheers for reading
