Thank you all for your input.

Being a very paranoid person. (Hey I spent a whole year stationed on the DMZ in Korea, so what do you expect?)

I have come to terms with my needs associated with prepping.

Short term - weeks as opposed to months. We bug-in. everything is ok as long as we keep our head down.

Long term - Bug-out. Once the initial storm blows over. We get out. The idea is to get into a semi-reclusive woodland to hunker down and just survive. Hint - Put together a kit (We call it a home-kit). What you need is a chainsaw and whatever tools you would need to build a log cabin. Trust me it is not brain surgery. (Look it up) 10 - 15 trees or less will provide what you need to house a family. (Basic, no luxury here)

Find yourself about an acre or so and you will be in good stead.

I know this is light on detail, but I have the fine detail in experience and can do this no worries.

Thanks All

Take care
