Still having registration problems

Post by prepperjohn »

I have tried to contact admin from both my work email address and my google address but both email bounced back

Ant idea why this may be happening?

All I want to do is join the forum

But if you have a user name and have managed to write a post then technically you have joined so not sure what the problem is.

Your first 10 ten post have to be approved by moderators. But first of all please post a decent introduction in the new members section.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply
I had to register using my work email address as I was not receiving the sign up email to my normal address.

I would rather not use my work address on an open forum also I don't seem to be able to change my email address in my user CP

I can't help you with your email problem but when scoobie is around I'm sure he'll offer some advice. :D

What was in the detail of the bounceback message?

You can change your email address once you have registered as long as its not on a spam list

I have tried that but because I registered with that account but never received a sign up email I get told that email is already in use

I can't win

Thanks for the bounceback info. Very odd! I'm a bit limited with what I can do today as I'm travelling back from the USA, but I will get it sorted for you tomorrow when I'm back.

The email you never received, I assume that you checked your junk email folder? I know gmail sometimes thinks emails from the auto reply address are spam...
