Group prepping V solo prepping
Re: Group prepping V solo prepping
I think there are pros and cons for both solo and group prepping but if you can trust the group with your life then numbers will always have an edge, to large a group and the ability for stealth and evasion becomes difficult but having a young family with babies I would guess that being stealthy would be harder than if I was alone ( leaving my family is obviously not an option ) therefore I have a small group of around 15 people who are all preppers to some degree that I trust to do what needs to be done to keep us safe and supplied.
Re: Group prepping V solo prepping
In My opinion I would say it really depends on your situation. For me I prefer to be on my own and I'm out in middle of nowhere, if SHTF I would be able to stay where I am with out to much problems as the location is pretty good, ie farmland all around me and can see for a few miles all around on a clear day. I do know a prepper in in a town not to far away whom I will be able to contact via ham radio when I get it all sorted. T conclude I would say if you can stay on your own/with family but being able to contact others if you need to is necessary.

Personally I would prefer to group prep but unfortunately with my current situation it would be unfair to other preppers as like all preppers, money and spare time is hard to come by plus my girlfriend suffers from cystic fibrosis and as bad as it sounds I'm sure other preppers in a group may see her as a liability. Although we have around 2 years worth of her medicine prepped once that runs out we could be kicked out of a group. Perhaps oneday we could find people in a similar situation and we could come to some sort of arrangement.

In a theoretical 2 years of close contact...working and suffering together.....I would like to think that incredibly strong bonds of friendship and loyalty would be formed.
But if that were not the case............ then eternal shame on those people if they were to treat someone they called a friend in that way.
And they could then spend the rest of their lives wondering which of them will be next.
