Listed buildings DON'T

Too much hassle
At the beck and call of a planning officer
And the preservation officer
Idiot neighbours around you
Cost of materials ( you ain't going to be allowed to use x or y )
Cost of heating
Cost of insulation
Cost of insurance

And you are then responsible to up keep the place even if it means thousands just to keep it watertight .

Don't , Don't Don't
Be Prepared.
Plan like its the last loaf on the shop shelves.
Plan like its the last beer in the fridge.

Off to check out another house today. Same sort of size house, age and garden size, but not listed this time. Hopefully it'll tick all my boxes, and it's £35k cheaper too :D
Should allow me the flexibility to add some prepper-related improvements and some spare cash (or smaller mortgage) to reduce my slavery to the banking system.
I'm in Area 7 !
