I would miss ice cold glass of milk, red sauce and even though i like pizza i won't miss it and you could even make your own in a shtf world if you really long for one.

Also the one thing i forget to say was i would miss the most is a lovely hot cup of tea with a dash of milk. i know we all could have a large supply of teabags but when that goes it would be very hard to get more.

Mrs Trotsky would be right with you...... You've got to have Eastern European roots??? Mrs Trotsky does, and she's completely changed the way I look at food....Annana wrote:I think I would miss my milk kefir the most, and also fresh meat.
As for me, mmmmmmmmmhhhhhhhhhhhhhh A nice juicey fillet steak, chips, and a nice bottle of Temperanillo. Followed by a glass of Port or two.
Having said that I'd settle for any Pizza (Bulldogeagle)!!!
Failing that, anything I could knock up on a rocket stove would do just fine!!!
Magic stuff.
Re: in a shtf world...
Question, If a person starts prepping. Collects plenty of what he might need in the way of food, water (and purification methods) medical supplies, toiletries, and builds any number of off-grid self sufficiency projects eg, solar panels, water wheels, etc and has enough supplies to last several months to a year and see him through any crisis that might arise. Could that person be described as a "prepper".
If that "prepper" then eats a pizza, would it from that point on be inaccurate to describe him as a "prepper", due to the fact that he has eaten a pizza?
BulldogEagle?? Anyone??

i would think the likes of pizza could be classed as a luxury not a prep item .
i like salami but would think about stocking it .
it really isn`t a matter of being a prepper or not , i don` t think theres a line you cross or a club you join that has a layed out set of rules .
i prep for unemployment as thats the most likely thing , i do have a fuel bank and i do have a genny for short term power loss .

Years ago it was as natural as breathing to have things put away for a rainy day as you could not always get out to the shops when you needed it. Today people who live on the islands around the UK make sure they have a good store cupboard in case the supply ship cannot get to them, people who live in the countryside with out a nearby village shop or a good bus route still put things by just in case. What you eat now does not stop you being a prepper.Glydr wrote:Question, If a person starts prepping. If you have the knowledge and the skills to make and bake a pizza in a crisis well done that's what a prepper does. And how much are you charging for it as you will have a long line of people asking for this luxury item. PS where do you live as I will be first in the line.
