I'm curious about the biggest in the south, I used to go to one in south London that used to be a Woolworths and was huge!

I'm just going by the local chatter, ours was also where woolworths was, dam shame i recon, but i'm sure its doesn't do anything any of the others doesn't?

i went back for more boxes and they were all out :cry:

The continued existence of these cheap shops is enough for you to wish that the recession will carry on. When the economy sorts itself out, they may close down which would be a kind of shame in some kind of a sick, twisted perverted way.

Tooting in south London was the big one I used to go to, it had lines that a smaller one nearer to where I lived (Dalston) didn't have.

I've not managed to get to my current local one recently, too much work-on & too little spare cash :-(

There may be more around at the moment (in the same way there seem to be more pawnbroker-type shops & betting shops) but they've been common for a very long time so I don't think they'll all vanish when 'things' pick up again :-)

ok you lot !!!!! size and shape isnt important..... Just bought an A4 freznel lens from an independant pound shop and with todays sun and some fluff from the tumble dryer - I MADE FIRE !!!!!

Why do I carry on forgetting to buy magnifying glasses? Considering that most of my healthcare budget goes on my teeth and not my eyes, i really should stock up.
