5.11 tactical field ops watch

Post by Pointboy »

Well been looking around for a good watch that will last as long as possible and came across this watch

And well I'm really liking the look of this watch what do people think?

nice bit of kit but if you dont really need the compass get a casio g-shock for less than half the price and used more by military than 5.11. i have the casio GA-100 model

The list reads all high speed tactical operator but reliability is key. Thought about a timex expedition or casio g shock? £200 is very pricey for this too. Lots of other preps could be purchased with saved cash (sound like my dad now lol) from purchasing a different watch. As for the ballistic calculator. ... download strelok on your phone for free.

I had a Casio G-shock.. the plastic where the strap pin locates eventually broke after about 4 years. ive been back to the basic £5 ish version for 5 years or so now cheap plastic strap, still going strong, sad that I don't know my altitude, the barometric presure, nor what the temperature is in the locallity of my wrist  the most use it ever actually was, was telling me just how warm the seawater I was freezing m arse off in was in July.
A ballistic calculator sounds cool for those of us who shoot things far away, a digital compass there all the time is also great yet frankly unless you just feel like treating yourself to an expensive gadjet you could spend your prepping funds a good deal more wisely ;)
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

I have a <£20 Casio ten-year battery watch. It tells the time accurately, is waterproof, lights up in the dark, shows the date, and I don't worry about it getting scratched or knackered.

Save your money and spend it on other preps.

Most things 5.11 are very good!

A watch is on my wish list, but I just bought some 5.11 Short Sleeve shirts on ebay!

How much??

If you're thinking of spending 2 tons on a plastic battery-powered watch you need your head read .... Even if you need to work out sniping solutions

Don't believe the hype.
