Compiling a list of survival novel recommendations

Post by Duckie »

After reading Headforthehill's post about "Cyberstorm" I thought I'd ask if anyone can personally recommend other survival/apocalypse fiction? Until recently I'd barely read anything for years, but I've got the reading bug back, even bought myself a second hand Kindle!

I'm sure there'll be some discussion, so I'll edit this post to show a nice easy to read list as each title as it's suggested. :D

Pseudonym, I Googled David Halfast and I'm a bit confused now lol! Would that be "Lights Out" by David Crawford? It sounds brilliant anyway! :D

I second S M Stirling and Heinlein

Try

John Ringo, heres a link to free baen ebooks http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/ its the "Eye of the Storm" link, DO NOT click on the direct link when you get there (no longer works) instead look to the right and download either the iso.zip or the cd.zip ,,,the cd.zip is the one to go for.

Many other sci-fi authors on there , all legal , have a look round , a lot of it is based around some kind of "teotwawki"

enjoy
